A Night To Remember!

And no, I am not talking about the Oscar's last night. I don't give 2 hoots about what the people in Hollywood think about movies. I am referring to Dr. Budahl's final home concert. As many of you know (or don't) this will be his last year as the director of the famous Madrigal and Handbell choir. His final concert will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. They are planning a special day just for him. I have all of the information, and would love to pass it along to anyone who would like to receive it. The problem is I don't know how to add a link to my e-mail. So, I am providing you with an e-mail address that we use every so often. Feel free to e-mail me, and I will forward the info. to you. Would love to see many of you there.

A Grand Prix Finish!

Today the boys had their Grand Prix at church. Garrett had struggled with his car the last 2 years. As a matter of fact, he hadn't won a race at all! So this year we decided to fix that. He and Aaron made a wonderful car. They took their time last night making sure that the wheels were aligned, spun fast, etc. His car did very well this year. He won several races and even advanced in the bracket. Donovan's car received no attention. We applied the wheels and a little graphite this morning. We just prayed that it made it down the track. Well, he placed second in his division. So much for much love and attention to a vehicle. The car that was thrown together is the one that ran much better. He was excited. He received a gift card to Toys R Us, which has already been spent. We hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

The Most Romantic!

Last night my wonderful husband came and picked up the kids for me from the daycare and the babysitter (or so I thought). When I arrived at home, I was greeted by my wonderful husband but no kids. He had dropped them off at my girlfriend's house and decided to take me out to dinner. Well he chose Outback (not bad!). While we were enjoying our Awesome Blossom, he proceeded to tell me how wonderful I was, and how much he loved me. And then he pulled out the box. Now he will be the first to admit that he can not pull off surprises. I pick up on everything. He will also tell you that although he tries, he is not the most romantic guy. Well he said, "Open up the box." I am sitting there in shock and crying at the same time. I open it up to find a beautiful eternity band. I have been wanting one for quite a while. I asked him how much I need to take out of our checking to pay for it, but he assured me that it was paid for. HOW? Well he will receive a bonus on Thursday that we were not planning on getting. He was told by his company that they would not get a bonus. Well the bonus was big enough to pay for this princess' ring and finish paying off Garrett's tuition. Praise the Lord.

Aaron- Thank you for the wonderful surprise. Thank you for 11 wonderful Valentine's Days. I could not have hand picked anyone better to spend the rest of my life. Thank you for 3 wonderful kids. Thanks for being a great best-friend, daddy, supplier, comforter, confidant, and the list goes on. I hope you have a wonderful day. With all of my LOVE...

Another Ear Infection...

Brynn has another ear infection. This will be her 4th since the end of December. She was just at the Dr.'s last Friday, and she was given the all clear. On Wednesday she started to run a fever. She also said that her ears hurt. I took her in on Thursday. Her ears were bright red on the inside. Poor baby. I can't wait for this to be done. She has an appt. with a specialist on Thursday. We will see if he wants to do tubes or something else. Our family has a history of tubes falling out. I really don't care to go through this again in 6 months. If you happen to think about it on Thursday, pray for us as we decide with the Dr. to determine the best route to take for Brynn. Have a wonderful weekend.

FREEZING TEMPERATURES!!!

I was born in California for a reason. Living in Michigan during the winter is not it. Garrett had school off yesterday. They also closed it again today because of the weather, although we did not get any snow. Yesterday's temp was -6 degrees without the windchill. With the windchill figured in it was -30! Yikes. This morning it was -5 with a windchill of -22. Way to cold for me. As they say here, "If you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes because it may change." I am holding out for 70 degree weather by dinner.
