Brynn's 2 year old pictures

Here are Brynn's 2 year old pictures. It took her a while to smile for the camera. She didn't know exactly what to do about the duck on the photographer's head! We were able to get some great pictures. Hope you enjoy them as much as we do!

Some pictures of the boys

Wanted to post some pictures of the boys. With all that has been going on with Brynn, it seems like they have gotten lost in the mud. Garrett is currently working on their K-5 graduation play at school. They are doing Peter Rabbit. It should be cute. He is doing very well in school. He just won the reading contest for his class. He read 63 books during the month of March!!! Although he loves reading, math seems to be his favorite. Donovan enjoys going into the daycare with me. He has his little group of friends that he plays with. It is fun to watch him interact with kids other than his brother. Although he is learning his letters and numbers, he would much rather play with any kind of ball. He just might be our little sports nut! (It must run in the family : ) ) I am so thankful for the wonderful boys that God has given us. Although some times can be trying, they bring great joy and many giggles to our everyday life.

Happy Birthday to our PRINCESS!

Tomorrow our youngest, Brynn Elizabeth, will turn 2! It is hard to believe that 2 years ago she entered the world. She is a joy to have around. She is full of spunk. I wonder where she gets that from. It must be from her dad! (Just Kidding) Brynn- Daddy and I hope you have a wonderful day. We love you.

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year!!!

I absolutely love this time of year! Winter is about over (I hate the snow), daylight savings time comes, and all the college basketball you can watch!!! I LOVE March Madness. Our family has a contest every year to see whose bracket turns out to be the most correct. I haven't done very well the last couple of years. I tend to choose the underdogs, and I also pick the Big Ten. If you don't hear from me, it is because I am sitting on my couch taking in all of the action I can handle.

Tubes... Part 2

Well, Brynn made it through her surgery. She did an excellent job. When she woke up, she didn't even fuss. The nurse couldn't believe how well she did. She is sleeping right now with her Daddy beside her. Looking forward to having my little girl back to her normal self!

Tubes...

Yes, I said the word tubes! Brynn went to an ENT Dr. February 15. He suggested that we could either put tubes in her ears or wait. It was up to us. Well, we decided to wait. There were several reasons for us waiting. During this waiting period, Aaron and I decided that if she got another ear infection, a call would be made to the Dr. to schedule surgery. Well 1 week later she came down with another ear infection, so the call was made. She is having tubes put in both ears tomorrow. Hopefully this will take care of the problem. Have a great day!

A Night To Remember!

And no, I am not talking about the Oscar's last night. I don't give 2 hoots about what the people in Hollywood think about movies. I am referring to Dr. Budahl's final home concert. As many of you know (or don't) this will be his last year as the director of the famous Madrigal and Handbell choir. His final concert will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. They are planning a special day just for him. I have all of the information, and would love to pass it along to anyone who would like to receive it. The problem is I don't know how to add a link to my e-mail. So, I am providing you with an e-mail address that we use every so often. Feel free to e-mail me, and I will forward the info. to you. Would love to see many of you there.

A Grand Prix Finish!

Today the boys had their Grand Prix at church. Garrett had struggled with his car the last 2 years. As a matter of fact, he hadn't won a race at all! So this year we decided to fix that. He and Aaron made a wonderful car. They took their time last night making sure that the wheels were aligned, spun fast, etc. His car did very well this year. He won several races and even advanced in the bracket. Donovan's car received no attention. We applied the wheels and a little graphite this morning. We just prayed that it made it down the track. Well, he placed second in his division. So much for much love and attention to a vehicle. The car that was thrown together is the one that ran much better. He was excited. He received a gift card to Toys R Us, which has already been spent. We hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

The Most Romantic!

Last night my wonderful husband came and picked up the kids for me from the daycare and the babysitter (or so I thought). When I arrived at home, I was greeted by my wonderful husband but no kids. He had dropped them off at my girlfriend's house and decided to take me out to dinner. Well he chose Outback (not bad!). While we were enjoying our Awesome Blossom, he proceeded to tell me how wonderful I was, and how much he loved me. And then he pulled out the box. Now he will be the first to admit that he can not pull off surprises. I pick up on everything. He will also tell you that although he tries, he is not the most romantic guy. Well he said, "Open up the box." I am sitting there in shock and crying at the same time. I open it up to find a beautiful eternity band. I have been wanting one for quite a while. I asked him how much I need to take out of our checking to pay for it, but he assured me that it was paid for. HOW? Well he will receive a bonus on Thursday that we were not planning on getting. He was told by his company that they would not get a bonus. Well the bonus was big enough to pay for this princess' ring and finish paying off Garrett's tuition. Praise the Lord.

Aaron- Thank you for the wonderful surprise. Thank you for 11 wonderful Valentine's Days. I could not have hand picked anyone better to spend the rest of my life. Thank you for 3 wonderful kids. Thanks for being a great best-friend, daddy, supplier, comforter, confidant, and the list goes on. I hope you have a wonderful day. With all of my LOVE...

Another Ear Infection...

Brynn has another ear infection. This will be her 4th since the end of December. She was just at the Dr.'s last Friday, and she was given the all clear. On Wednesday she started to run a fever. She also said that her ears hurt. I took her in on Thursday. Her ears were bright red on the inside. Poor baby. I can't wait for this to be done. She has an appt. with a specialist on Thursday. We will see if he wants to do tubes or something else. Our family has a history of tubes falling out. I really don't care to go through this again in 6 months. If you happen to think about it on Thursday, pray for us as we decide with the Dr. to determine the best route to take for Brynn. Have a wonderful weekend.

FREEZING TEMPERATURES!!!

I was born in California for a reason. Living in Michigan during the winter is not it. Garrett had school off yesterday. They also closed it again today because of the weather, although we did not get any snow. Yesterday's temp was -6 degrees without the windchill. With the windchill figured in it was -30! Yikes. This morning it was -5 with a windchill of -22. Way to cold for me. As they say here, "If you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes because it may change." I am holding out for 70 degree weather by dinner.

5 Random Facts about me!

I am going to post 5 little known facts, before anyone has the chance to tag me! So, here it goes.

1. My dad is a Pastor and has been at the same church for 26 years! It is currently the church that most of my family attends. The people there are my family and pretty much all that I have ever known.

2. When I first became pregnant, I wanted all boys. With the impending arrival of my third, God chose to add some spice to my life by sending me a girl. She has added so much to our family. I am so thankful that Brynn is here.

3. My brother and I share the same birthday. I am six years older than him.

4. My sister, brother, and I all share the same anniversary date. June 28! We did it in case my parents got old and forgot.

5. Aaron and I dated for 2 months before we got engaged. We were married 8 months later. This summer we will celebrate 11 years. Thanks honey for 11 great years. May we have many more.

I hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday.

Her First Haircut!

Brynn received her first haircut today. A friend from church did a wonderful job. She actually sat through the whole thing without fussing. Here are the before and after pictures.

A broken foot

I know that I have not posted in a while. We have been so busy. Brynn is still dealing with an ear infection. She just finished up round 4 of a 4 week antibiotic treatment. She goes back to the Dr. on Wednesday to see if everything has cleared up. Pray that it is clear. If not, they are referring her to a specialist for maybe tubes but possibly tonsils removed. Monday night we spent our evening in the urgent care. Garrett and Donovan were playing on my bed. Garrett went flying off and hit his foot on our heat vent. Needless to say he broke his last knuckle on his pinkie toe. He still can't put his foot in his shoe. Here is a picture of his beautiful foot!

Happy New Year

Happy New Year to everyone. We had a wonderful New Year's Eve. It was spent with some friends at Chuck E Cheese! It has become an annual tradition. The place usually clears out around 7:30 which is about the time that we show up. This year we stayed until it closed at 10:00. Of course, the kids love it. It is nice being able to spend the evening with your family. May everyone have a blessed 2007!!!
